Studio · What I can help with
Studio
From design to make, a studio built around your needs.
Design Me A Solution is a working studio based in Devon. I take on projects of all kinds — from a single technical drawing to a full architectural brief — and I work alongside clients as a project partner, not just a supplier.
Your Project Buddy
Bring your project, your idea, or your problem, and we work it out together. Architecture, product design, engineering, branding, web — whatever the discipline, the approach is the same: your project, your pace, my experience.
Design & Technical Drawing
Architectural plans, engineering components, product drawings, CAD work in Fusion 360 — produced to a professional standard for planning applications, fabrication, or manufacture.
Web Design & Management
Websites designed, built, and looked after. Monthly management available. Optional smart tools and automations for businesses that want to go further.
Crafted Artefacts
I make things by hand. Furniture, sculpture, instruments, objects. Commissions considered.
Build It Here
Have you always wanted to build your own campervan, off-grid vehicle, or workshop project from scratch? This is the place to do it. The studio has the space, the tools, and the facilities to take a project from bare metal to finished build. A spare room is available for residential stays, so you can live on-site while your project takes shape. Every build begins with detailed budgeting, planning, and design — nothing is left to chance. Phone for current availability.
This isn't a hire space. It's a working partnership — your vision, my experience, one project at a time.
Build It Here
Before You Start
Using the studio means working in a real, fully equipped workshop. To protect both of us, a clear set of documents must be read, agreed, and signed before any work begins. There are no exceptions to this.
Client Contract
Sets out the scope of your build, payment terms, timescales, and what each party is responsible for. Must be signed before a start date is confirmed and a deposit taken.
Privacy Policy
Your personal data is held only for the purposes of managing your project and kept in line with UK GDPR. Details of what is collected, how it is stored, and your rights are set out in the Privacy Policy.
Terms of Use
Covers the rules of using the workshop, tools, and facilities. Includes conduct expectations, access hours, care of the space, and the consequences of misuse. Applies to every person on site.
Health & Safety Risk Assessment
The studio holds a full H&S risk assessment covering all workshop activities. You will read and sign this before using any part of the studio. Once signed, responsibility for your own health and safety while on site passes to you. I am not liable for any injury, accident, or incident arising after sign-off.
Machinery Sign-off
Before operating any tool or machine in the studio, you must be individually signed off on that piece of equipment. This covers correct and safe use, PPE requirements, and emergency procedures. You may not use any machine you have not been signed off on.
NDA
Where a project involves proprietary designs, techniques, or commercially sensitive information — on either side — a mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement will be put in place. This protects your ideas as much as mine.
DBS & Insurance
I hold an Enhanced DBS certificate and full public liability insurance. Documentation available on request.
All Documents Must Be Signed
No exceptions. Work does not begin until all six documents are completed, signed, and held on file.
Breakages
Any tool, machine, or piece of equipment damaged or broken during your build will be replaced as new. This cost falls to the client.
Deposits
A deposit is required to secure your start date and studio time. Full details are set out in the Client Contract.
