Yew Longbow
A traditional English longbow, cut and shaped from a single stave of yew.
Following the grain rather than fighting it — reading the wood, tillering slowly, letting the bow find its own curve. A study in patience and material honesty.

On the making
It begins with choosing the wood — the heartwood resists compression, the sapwood takes the tension. Each limb is worked down a shaving at a time, tillered slowly, then finished with horn nocks, a linen string and coat after coat of linseed oil.
